Company OverviewAnderson Bakery, a Kroger Company, is in the city of Anderson in the beautiful area of Upstate South Carolina. We have been in business under the Kroger name since 1979 and are currently producing bread, muffins, and rolls for Kroger grocery stores in the southeast. Under new leadership, our facility has seen significant improvement in the last year in terms of process reliability, efficiency, and average run time and are continuing to improve our key plant indicators and our plant culture.

Position SummaryPerform with mastery the required tasks and duties for the designated responsibilities of one or more operational positions, as determined by core team composition and crewing needs. Must maintain timely progress through assigned operational training. Must flexibly perform a variety of roles in a team-based environment. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Maintain timely arrival and attendance for scheduled shift.
Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn.
Master at least one core team operational position.
Make timely progress in qualifying to independently perform all operational functions assigned by the core departmental team.
Steadily advance in leadership and operational skill development as required to advance to Tech Level 2 performance within the established time frame.
Participate in the team’s rotational schedule when qualified on multiple positions.
Model safe behavior in execution of operational roles.
Perform all duties in a manner that ensures product quality.

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School diploma or GED.
Must demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance including participation in rotational scheduling.
Highly self-motivated, with ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
